Hello!
I've been off my fast for 1 week today. I'm feeling really great! I'm enjoying so many different healthy food choices.
The first 3 days post fast I mostly drank juice, ate fruits and veggies, and of course had some peanut butter (I couldn't resist)! After that I began incorporating cooked foods into my diet such as beans and rice. I even went to Chipotle on Tuesday. I feel like for the first 21 years of my life I've missed out on good food. I've been eating only vegan, gluten free, fresh, and non GMO foods. That sounds really restrictive, but I've been eating like a QUEEN for the past week.
I've found some really great recipes this week that I really like. I tried toasted chickpeas for the first time. I really liked them! I also made gluten free, vegan, no bake, peanut butter protein bites! Talk about yummy! Check out my recipe section for more information and other recipes.
The first 5 days of my post fast I gained 3lbs back. This is normal because my body is adjusting. I lost a pound today, so I'm sitting at 150lb today! This leaves me 15lbs away from my goal weight and my shopping spree! I just need to make sure to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
My stomach was pretty sensitive the first 3 days. I had a few stomach aches, but I got through it. Because of this I toned down my work outs a little to ensure I didn't upset my stomach even more.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to have a really lovely lady give my hair a makeover. I know her from high school and now she is in beauty school. She really did a fabulous job! I highly recommend any ladies in the Dallas, TX area to go see her! E-mail me for her contact info!!! My hair is now looking and feeling super healthy, fun, fresh, and cute!
Congratulations and the new do is fantabulous!!
ReplyDeleteWow!! you look great! Thanks so much for sharing this:) I want to start my fast on Sunday, I would like to do 30 days, and if all goes good would love to do more :) you have really inspired me to work hard at this :)
ReplyDeleteThanks once again :)
Thank you, Debra! Honestly, once day 30 rolls Around, juicing has become a way of life. The results that you are seeing are addictive and the juice actually is too. I've been really wanting to get off my fast, because due to my body adjusting to good, my weight has just been fluctuating. I'm used to seeing 2-3 pound weight loss, without any gain, each week. Now that that isn't happening I want to keep fasting because I know I see results that way. However, I feel that I need to let my body adjust and stop confusing it. I'm still eating extremely healthy, so I know results will happen, I just need to let my body figure out what is going on.
DeleteI got off track! I would love to stay updated on your progress, so feel free to comment or email me anytime at healthyhaley60.blogspot.com
Regardless of how long you fast, the point is that you are making yourself a healthier and happier person, and that alone is amazing :)
Correction: "I've been really wanting to get *back on* my fast."
