Week 2 weigh in, photos, and measurements!

Good morning, friends, family, and lovely followers.

Another week has passed! I'm two weeks in to my 60 day juice/smoothie fast and I'm feeling great! I've actually never felt this healthy and confident!

I guess you all are eager to find out my weight loss, and measurements!

I weighed in this week at 170.0 lbs. that's 15 pounds since I started, and 3 pounds this week. My weight loss has obviously slowed down a little bit, but I'm not flushing out as much toxins as I did the first week.

My new measurements are:
Arms: 12in (-1/4in)
Bust: 42in (-2in)
Underbust: 36in (-1in)
Gut: 42in (-2in)
Waist: 41in (-2in)
Thighs: 23in (-3in)
Calves: 15 1/2 (-1/2in)

That's a total of 14 1/2inches (counting each arm and leg)! I'm certainly much happier with those numbers than my original numbers!

So there ya go!

I've fallen in love with juicing! I'm addicted to my juices and smoothies. My taste buds are definitely changing. Last night I found myself craving carrots! Just under 2 weeks ago I posted that I was craving pizza! Now the thought of pizza kind of grosses me out! I even went to a wedding over the weekend where they served bar-b-que and it didn't even phase me. I just sat there and sipped my juice with a smile on my face. Keith, my boyfriend, also only had juice with me! He's great :)

I got some really great ingredients for my juices and smoothies this week. Keith and I went back to the farmers market and found some of the juiciest carrots and tomatoes that I've ever seen. These carrots are giant! It's amazing how much of a difference organic and fresh off the farm makes.

I started jogging last night. I used to be able to jog 3-5 miles a morning with no trouble, so I'm hoping to get back to that point. I love running; it's so freeing to me. Last night I ran a mile. It felt so good guys! I didn't want to time it because the time doesn't matter to me. What matters is that I did it.

Last week I watched and took notes on several food documentaries. I want to put together a blog entry about what I learned. I think there is a lot of information on these documentaries that the whole population should know. I want to give you guys facts and knowledge about what you're eating. I've also been receiving a lot if questions from friends and family on how they can start this journey on their own. I want to get some of those questions answered where everyone can see. I'll be putting that blog together early this week.

I decided to follow one of the juice plans on the Reboot with Joe website this week. I'll be doing a variety of different color juices throughout the day. This will ensure that I get all of the nutrients that I need.

I almost forgot! I got my hands on some spirulina this week! Spirulina is a natural plant (algae) that is packed with protein and other awesome nutrients. It's super good for you! I just add a little to my juice or smoothie :)

This week I was able to squeeze into my FAVORITE pair of jeans. I could zip and button them! Whoop! They didn't fit perfectly; I definitely wouldn't wear them around right now, but the point is is that I can put them on. I laid out all of my favorite pairs of jeans and shorts, that I hope to fit back into, on my dresser. I think seeing them all day will help keep me motivated (instead of them hiding in the back of my closet). My skin has pretty much completely cleared up. Keith keeps telling me that he can't believe how soft my arms are. That's a big change! I've had eczema my entire life. This has almost completely gone away. This is the first time I've ever really been told I have soft skin. My mom told me that she thinks I've lost 12 pounds off my face alone and that I don't look like the same person.

I've received an overwhelming amount of support from friends, family, and followers. I just want to say thank you! It means so much to hear from you guys. You really keep me motivated and I promise I won't let any of you down.

Keep juicing!

Xoxo Hay

P.s. answer the poll on the side of my blog. What is your favorite fruit?
